Abstract

Stunting is a form of stunted growth process. Stunting is a problem because it is associated with an increased risk of morbidity and death, brain growth which affects motor skills will hamper a person's mental development. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of stunting among toddlers in Ranah Village, the UPT working area. Air Tiris health center in 2023. This research is an analytical study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers in Ranah Village, the working area of the Air Tiris Health Center UPT, namely 155 toddlers. The sample in this study was 111 toddlers using a simple random sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis and Likelihood Ratio. The results of research on parenting patterns providing food were 50 (45.0%) respondents with authoritarian parenting styles while 93 (83.8%) toddlers did not experience stunting and there was a significant relationship between parenting patterns providing food by mothers and the incidence of stunting in toddlers at the Community Health Center. Drained Water in 2023 (ρ value = 0.001). It is hoped that the results of this research will provide input for parents who have children with stunting to pay more attention to their children's nutrition.
