Abstract
Elderly (elderly) is a condition where a person experiences increasing age accompanied by a decrease in physical function. A person is said to be elderly, namely someone who is more than 60 years old. As we age, the function and shape of cells, tissues andorgan systems change, leading to poorer physical health, ultimately increasing the risk of disease. At this age, the body's immune function decreases, including heart function, often referred to as hypertension. This study aims to determine blood pressurebefore and after implementing brisk walking exercise therapy on Mr. A with hypertension. Implementation was carried out for 4 days, on 22–28 July 2024. Blood pressure was measured directly using a spygnomanometer. The results of the study showed a decrease in blood pressure after implementation. Blood pressure in clients with a BP ratio: 188/106 mmHg on the first day decreased until the fourth day found BP: 159/85 mmHg. The conclusion is that there is an effect of implementing brisk walking exercise on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with a history of hypertension.
