Abstract
Hypertension treatment can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Pharmacological treatment using chemical drugs, such as diuretics, calcium antagonists, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors. Meanwhile, non-pharmacological treatment can be done by controlling hypertension such as adjusting diet, exercise and complementary therapies. Some examples of complementary bleeding therapies that can be given to reduce complaints and lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients, one of which is through loving-kindness health therapy. This study aims to analyze the intervention of providing loving-kindness meditation therapy to reduce blood pressure in hypertension sufferers in Pulau Tinggi Village, Upt Air Tiris Health Center Work Area. This research uses descriptive research methods in the form of case studies with a nursing care approach. This research was carried out on June 10-13 2024, at the beginning of the assessment the blood pressure results were 180/110 mmHg, and after administering loving-kindness meditation therapy for 3 consecutive days the blood glucose levels were 150/80 mmHg. This shows that providing loving-kindness meditation therapy has an effect on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. It is hoped that this loving-kindness meditation therapy can become one of the nursing actions aimed at overcoming the nursing problem of lowering blood pressure in hypertension sufferers
