Abstract
This research was conducted using a multiple correlation research design. Multiple correlation is a statistical tool, which can be used to compare the measurement results of three or more different variables. In this study, we looked for the contribution of variable Shoulder arm muscle strength (X1), leg muscle explosive power (X2) to variable Y (volleyball smash accuracy) for extracurricular students at SMA N1 Bangkinang. The sample in the research consisted of 20 students. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics consisting of Normality Test Analysis, Linearity Test, Homogeneity Test, and Correlation Test. The results of the study showed that the contribution of Shoulder arm muscle strength and leg muscle explosive power contributed to the accuracy of volleyball smashes in extracurricular students at SMA N1 Bangkinang. The results obtained from the normality test of the Shoulder arm muscle strength contribution variable (X1) were normally distributed because the sig was greater than the α value (0.0780 > 0.05), the leg muscle explosive power variable (X2) was normally distributed because the sig was greater than the α value ( 0.0200 > 0.05), the volleyball smash accuracy variable (Y) is normally distributed because the sig is greater than the α value (0.200 > 0.05). It can be seen from the correlation analysis calculations that the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient of the contribution of Shoulder arm muscle strength (X1) to volleyball smash accuracy (Y) is shown by the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.961 which is included in the strong category and the determinant coefficient (r2) = 0.923 or 92.3%.. Furthermore, the strength of the contribution of Leg Muscle Strength (X2) to the accuracy of volleyball smashes (Y) is shown by the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.71 which is included in the medium category and the determinant coefficient (r2) = 0.504 or 50, 4 % This means that 50.4% of the variance in volleyball smash accuracy is determined by leg muscle strength. Thus, if the higher the Shoulder arm muscle strength number and the explosive power of the leg muscles, the accuracy of the extracurricular volleyball smashes for SMA N1 Bangkinang students will increase. Kata Kunci: Shoulder arm muscle strength, Leg Muscle Explosive Power, and Volleyball Smash Accuracy.
